Import New Contacts from CSV

To update existing contacts by Contact ID, use Update Contacts CSV.

Upload a clean CSV file using the exact column headings below. Do not include id, created_at, or updated_at. The database will create those automatically.

Required CSV Columns

first_name,last_name,company,role_title,email,phone,linkedin_url,website_url,location,contact_type,source,priority,opportunity_type,stage,notes,whatsapp_number,social_media_1,social_media_2,social_media_3

Recommended Import Workflow

  1. Export a backup first.
  2. Prepare your CSV using the required headings.
  3. Import the CSV here.
  4. Go to Contacts or Search Contacts to check the results.
  5. Export another backup after successful import.

Duplicate Handling

The WhatsApp and Social Media 1–3 columns are optional. Existing CSV files without them remain valid.

This first version skips duplicate contacts if the same email address or LinkedIn URL already exists. It does not update existing contacts.
